Dear Boosters-

Thanks for attending the 2010 edition of Mini Marching and Water Melon Social on Monday. I know we're all very proud of our students, and look forward to a great year of marching!

One of the early events this year is the Putnam City Classic, which takes place on Sept. 25th at Putnam City Stadium. As always, the three Putnam City High Schools will be hosting great high school bands from all across the region, with bands coming from Texas, Missouri, Kansas, as well as the finest marching bands in Oklahoma. Our band will be performing in exhibition, and this is the first time our band will get the important feedback from judges that will refine our presentation for later contests.

Besides the benefits for our kids, the profits from PC Classic are split equally between the three high school booster organizations. Every year the PC Classic is a significant income source for our program.

Several of you volunteered to work at the PC Classic, but we need many more. PCN is responsible for staffing the Concession Stand and Band Escorts this year, and the event alwasy needs plenty of volunteers to keep it running smoothly. We will be having the Bllue and Gold fundraiser again this year, because it is one of the consistenly successful fundraisers we have. Along with Blue and Gold, which is planned for October, we'll roll out a couple of other fundraisers throughout the season.

Remember that money raised through these fundraisers is applied directly to your student's account to offset dues. Keep an eye out for upcoming fundraising opportunities.

PCN Pride first game is September 3rd at PCO!

If you have not already signed up to help with important Game Day volunteer activities, we would love to have your help. We need volunteers to help get our band to the field, on the field, and cared for during the game. And remember, the better our concession sales are, the more opportunity we can provide for our kids. Take part as a volunteer, and spend a Friday night with the best kids and parents you'll ever make friends with!

PC Marching Classic - Saturday, September 25 @ Putnam City Stadium- We need volunteers!

We need ticket takers, band escorts, concession workers, program sales, you name it, and we need help with it!  Shift times are from 8am to 1pm, 1pm to 6pm and 6pm to 11pm.  Please contact Annette Bean, Lori Brannan or Jim Witcher if you can help.
